There are 5 Communities in Sun Lakes AZ, each with it’s own golf course. Sun Lakes #1, Cottonwood, Palo Verde, Ironwood & Oakwood.
The first community built, Sun Lakes Country Club opened in 1974. An 18-hole course that features 6 par 4 holes and 12 par 3 holes with 3,571 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 60. The course rating is 58.3 and it has a slope rating of 96 on Bermuda Grass.
Cottonwood Country Club
An 18-hole championship course offering a challenge to all player levels with 6,737 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 71.7 and it has a slope rating of 129 on Bermuda grass. The course opened in 1983.

Palo Verde Counry Club
Featuring a total of 4,060 yards. From the longest tees for a par of 62 . The course rating is 59.7 and it has a slope rating of 94. The course opened in 1985.

Ironwood Country Club
An 18-hole Championship Course with 5,500 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 67 . The course rating is 64.1 and it has a slope rating of 99 on Bermuda grass. Ironwood Golf Course opened in 1993.

Oakwood Country Club
The newest of the Sun Lakes Golf Courses. Oakwood Country Club features three 9-hole par 36 championship golf courses for a total of 27 holes. The Course opened in 1985.
