Just to clarify the $10 No Obligation deal: It’s $10 to join, $20 for prepaid months, and $29.95 per year additional. $60 plus tax to actually join this $10 month to month plan. This will automatically be deducted from your credit card, which you must sign up for. After 12 months, the monthly fee increases to $15. If you choose to stop this “monthly” plan, or have the automatic deductions stopped, it will cost you an additional $25. So, if you wanted to try it for one month and then cancel, it would cost $85…plus tax. I suppose there is “no obligation” unless you don’t want pay the start-up fee, yearly fee, increased fee, and the penalty fee for stopping the month-to-month plan. So, the first year costs of the gym is some around $170 plus tax. Nothing like a little creative marketing. But, hey, just saying.

Wow, what a scam.. They tell you $10 a month to get you in the door. The truth $30 to sign up + $30 Maintanance fee + I just found if you cancel another $30 . Broken out over a year you could probably get more at one of the other major gyms. I hate being nickel and dimmed!!!

Doo Wop Ticket Sales start January 13, 2012 at Oakwood Ballroom 10am to noon. Show tickets are $15.00.
BBQ tickets for the Feb 19th kick off event will also be available at the same location. Tickets for the BBQ are $5.00.
Kick Off event February 19 includes Old Car Show, Street Dance and Art Mart in additon to the BBQ.

Actually, Suzanne, I didn’t feel it was obvious that she “didn’t need the map herself”. Unfortunately, I don’t have anything to do with the map at the entrance and can only suggest to the powers that be to make the correction as can anyone. I don’t work for the community. Telling Holly to see the map in the Sun Lakes Directory is pretty lame. Obviously, she doesn’t need the map for herself. The map at the entrance is what visitors look at and it ought to be right. I see cars stopped there all the time. That is what visitors use. If they knew how to get to the Country Club to see an accurate map, they would know how to get to the home they are visiting. Further, they have no idea that the large map at the entrance, mounted in stone is messed up. I suggest it just be fixed asap.

Diamond Lake is in the Northwest corner of Oakwood. Easiest way would be to enter the gates at Sun Lakes Blvd, take a left on Nacoma Drive. Follow it around to Diamond Lake on the left hand side. See you there!
