The Sun Lakes Republican Club will feature “The Physicians’ Prescription for Health Care Reform and the 2012 Elections” with Dr. John Ammon, at its regular meeting Tuesday, October 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the Arizona Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd., Sun Lakes, AZ 85248. The public is invited.
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act a/k/a ObamaCare neither protects patients, nor does it lead to affordable care. Rather, it takes the control of health care decisions out of the hands of patients and places it into a dramatically expanded federal bureaucracy. This top-down, centralized control of health care has everything to do with power, but nothing to do with health care. It is the wrong prescription for health care reform in America. A majority of Americans, particularly physicians, recognize this and oppose the new law and support its repeal.
With America already facing a tidal wave of over $16 Trillion national debt, ObamaCare leaves taxpayers to foot the bill. Conveniently, the costs for ObamaCare don’t start hitting taxpayer wallets until after the November election, in 2013-14, hindering opportunities for job creation and prosperity for us and our future generations.
Dr. John Ammon represents AZ Docs 4 Patient Care, which is part of a non-partisan national organization of physicians dedicated to the preservation of the doctor-patient relationship. Their primary concern is the health and well-being of their patients. An additional concern is the health and well-being of the country, both physically and financially. Their reform platform is based on eight recommendations intended to serve as a framework on which responsible legislation can be constructed. Dr. Ammon recently testified before Congress, presenting the Docs 4 Patient Care’s health care reform alternative to ObamaCare.
Come join us! All are welcome! Bring your friends to be encouraged by a true prescription for what ails our country’s health care ills and what you can do about it.
A general election update will be presented by LD 17 State Representative Tom Forese. For voter registration/early ballot information or a ride to the polls on November 6 election day, please contact Janet Cincera at janetspeedo@hotmail.com.
