Sun Lakes Democratic Club will hold the next meeting on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Navajo Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 N. Sun Lakes Blvd, Sun Lakes, Arizona.
Please join us as we welcome Marcia Busching, candidate for the Arizona Corporation Commission.
Busching will update us on her state-wide campaign for this important job that impacts the lives of all Arizonans. She has lived in Arizona for more than 30 years and has had her own law firm, specializing in business and real estate law. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in business administration and law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has served on numerous City of Phoenix committees and bond subcommittees as well as being a Citizens Clean Elections Commissioner and a member of the Arizona Liquor Board. A strong advocate for protecting the needs and priorities of Arizona residents, Marcia also wants to protect seniors and families from predatory investments and scams. She supports energy efficiency and wants to ensure public safety through the oversight of public utilities, railroads, and pipelines.
Since it’s election season, we may also have a surprise visit from another candidate or two!
Please join us in celebrating victory election night, Tuesday, November 6th, 6:30 p.m., at Sun Lakes Chapel House, 9240 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. The general November meeting is canceled. At our December 10th meeting we’ll elect Club officers and board members.
Please bring non-perishable food items to the club meetings for the Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank. Collections take place in the west parking lot from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. We also have a box at the North entrance of the Sun Lakes Cactus Corner lobby. At your convenience donations can be dropped off there. Thanks for your generosity. Keep up the good work. August donations collected 263 lbs. + $45.00
Club meetings are held the second Monday of each month. Everyone is welcome. We encourage you to bring a friend.
