The 27-hole golf course in Oakwood is public as is the 18-hole golf course in Ironwood. Ironwood and Oakwood share an HOA (IronOaks) and special memberships are available to homeowners. A homeowner can join a single golf course or both for reduced rates.
Sun Lakes #1 Golf Course is Private for homeowners and their guests.
Palo Verde, Cottonwood and Sun Lakes #1 are all private golf courses which means you have to be a Sun Lakes homeowner (or accompanied by a homeowner) to golf on these courses. Homeowners can submit a written request for a Guest Card if they have a guest staying in their home (for less than 30 days per year). This guest card will allow the guest to enjoy the amenities (including golf) without being accompanied by the homeowner. Guest cards are available at Homeowner Services.
