IronOaks in Sun Lakes, AZ will have their community garage sale on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 8am – Noon. The communities will open their gates to the public for community wide access in both Ironwood and Oakwood Country Clubs.
Homeowners have the opportunity to sign up to be placed on a list that will be given out to the public to make your home (and your treasures) easier to find. The list will be available at the clubhouse (or from me) a few days before the event. You’re free to put up directional signs to your home and encouraged to mark your home with balloons or a sign (as if the stuff in your driveway isn’t enough to announce your garage sale!).
Homeowners can display their garage sale gems in their garages or driveways and not in any common areas. With 3300 homes in Oakwood and 735 homes in Ironwood Country Club it will be a great opportunity to lighten your junk….err… I mean treasure quotient and with temperatures warming, even if you don’t have anything to sell, get out there and meet your neighbors!
I plan to hold my featured listing at 24210 S. Stoney Path open that day so stop by to say “hi!” and see a beautiful semi-custom golf course home while you’re at it!

Sun Lakes, AZ Cottonwood Country Club will be the site for The Second Annual Sun Lakes Art at the Lakes on Saturday, March 20, 2010* from 9am – 2pm. 56 Artists will be displaying their works from Oil, Water Colors, Sculptures, Gourds, Glass Bead Jewelry, Stained Glass and more. *Special note this is the rescheduled date from the original 2/27 date changed due to inclement weather predictions.
Visit the art show at the Cottownwood Country Club lakefront across from the Tennis Courts. Admission is FREE and the Sun Lakes Fire Department will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs for sale with proceeds going to the Fire Department.
